Students who seek on-going faith group opportunities are welcome to join a number of programs that foster a compassionate faith community both on campus and with our local parishes.

The following faith group opportunities are offered:

Brave Faith is a peer ministry faith-building group in the Christian Ministry Department that gathers students together for “food, fun, and faith.” The purpose of Brave Faith is to give students of all grade levels an opportunity to gather together for activities that include a combination of good food, small group faith sharing and a fun activity, like wakeboarding, ice-skating, “Frolf” (a.k.a., Frisbee golf), or whatever.  Membership is informal and open to all students. The activities are planned by a student-led Brave Faith team.

Parish Connections is a peer ministry program that seeks to link up Bishop Blanchet students who share the same parish community. Parish Connections happens in coordination with pastors, youth ministers, parents, and parish leaders who want to help our students make a commitment to their home parish communities, starting with attending Sunday worship together. Ultimately, the goal is that students who participate will culminate a month-long program by making a commitment to continue worshiping together each Sunday, as well as take on leadership opportunities at their parish and their school.

GLOW is a peer ministry support group in the Christian Ministry Department that was formed under the authority of the Archbishop to empower students to help deter on-campus bigotry towards gay and lesbian youth in our school community.  Membership to GLOW is informal and open to all students. GLOW organizes community service outings and on-campus educational awareness events. GLOW offers a safe place for students to just be themselves and recognize through relationship with one another that we are all God’s children.
