Affinity Groups

Affinity groups, also called student unions, are spaces where students come together around a shared identity. Unlike clubs, which form around common interests, affinity groups are rooted in who students are and the experiences they share. These groups provide belonging, support, and celebration, while also empowering students to educate others and lead positive change within our Blanchet community and beyond.

In affinity groups, students:

  • Build community and celebrate their shared identity
  • Speak up about issues that affect their group
  • Educate others and lead schoolwide change
  • Create events and moments that uplift, empower, and inspire

Each affinity group thrives on the energy, commitment, and leadership of its members. Guided by faculty moderators and student leaders, our school proudly supports: Asian Pacific Islander Student Union (APISU), Black Student Union (BSU), Latinx Student Union (LSU), Mixed Student Union (MSU), and One Body.
