Application Process

List of 4 items.

  • 1. Register for a "Brave for a Day" Visit

This step is optional, but highly recommended! The best way to see if BBHS is the right fit for you is to spend a full day on campus immersed in "life as a Brave." You'll sit in on our exciting classes, meet current students and will have the opportunity to get all of your questions answered.

  • 2. Register for the High School Placement Test

To be considered for admission, merit-based scholarships, and class placements, Bishop Blanchet requires all prospective ninth grade students to take the High School Placement Test (HSPT).

The HSPT consists of multiple-choice questions and a 30-minute essay. We have added an additional testing date of January 6, 2020 at 3:30 p.m. Please click here to register.

Applicants may take the exam at other testing locations and have the results sent to us. To do so, please have your student indicate our testing code of "10" when they complete their demographic information on test day.
  • 3. Submit an Online Application

Fill out and submit the ONLINE APPLICATION and fee by January 8, 2020. Follow the directions to create an account, and then complete the application. You can download the required forms listed in the box on the right hand side of this page. The application fee is $30 for domestic applicants and $250 for international/exchange applicants.

    International application deadlines:

Priority deadline for international applicants: January 8, 2020

Regular deadline for international applicants: March 1, 2020

If you do not wish to apply online, you may print out an application and mail it to us by January 8, 2020
  • 4. Submit Transcript Request and Teacher Evaluation Forms

Forward the Confidential School Report/Transcript Request Form and the Confidential Teacher Evaluation Form to the applicant's present school.

The student’s school must complete and send these forms to the Bishop Blanchet Admissions Office along with an official transcript (most recent standardized test results and grades from at least 7th and 8th grades) by the January 8, 2020 deadline. It is the applicant's responsibility to ensure that the forms and transcripts have been sent by the deadline. The Admissions Committee will not consider incomplete applications.
