  • 2. HSPT Test

All ninth grade applicants to Bishop Blanchet are required to take the HSPT.  Along with grades and teacher recommendations, the results are used for placement in English, math, and science courses.

The test takes approximately four hours to complete, and has Language and Math sections, and one written essay.

BBHS will host two test dates, registration for the tests will open in October, 2023

    Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 9:00 a.m - 1:00 p.m.
    -or-
    Sunday, November 19, 2023 at 1:00-5:00 p.m.

Students taking the HSPT at Bishop Blanchet should arrive at least 15 minutes before the test start time. Parking is available in the main parking lot and there will be signs indicating the where the check in table is located. Test takers will need their student identification, two #2 pencils, and a blue or black ink pen. Because students will be completing some demographic information, they will need to know their current mailing address with zip code. We will provide breaks and snacks.  A few weeks after taking the test, you will receive results directly from the testing company.

Transfer Student Application Process

Bishop Blanchet accepts applications from transfer students at any time during the year. Transfer students typically enroll at the beginning of the Fall semester, though we do accept students at the beginning of our second semester, in late January, as well.

We have transfer students joining our community from around the Puget Sound region.

Transfer students do not need to take the placement exam to be considered for admission. Please complete the application and submit the Confidential School Report/Transcript Request Form and the Confidential Teacher Evaluation Form to the applicant's present school. The transfer application is considered complete when we have received the application and the recommendation and transcript from the applicant's school. Please email our Director of Admissions, Mike Pierce, at mpierce@bishopblanchet.org, with questions.
