Exchange students are welcome to apply to BBHS, though space is limited. Exchange students who are admitted may enroll for no more than one school year and must stay for a minimum of one semester. No spring applicants are accepted. Exchange students are generally responsible for organizing their own homestay with their exchange agency.
For the 2019-20 school year, exchange students will be charged $10,000 per semester. Exchange students must apply to begin in the fall semester and should plan to stay through the end of the semester. The international/exchange student application is $250 to apply.
The exchange student tuition covers the general tuition cost plus programming pertaining to the international program including but not limited to: international program activities and events (pre-orientation, monthly meetings/events, etc), English Learner Language (ELL) support (as needed), academic placement testing, academic advising and college counseling.
Tuition does not cover testing fees, retreat fees, club fees or student activities fees (such as class fees, athletic participation fees and drama participation fees).
Any students applying after the international application deadline will be considered while space is available with the understanding that if admitted, choices for classes will be limited to what is available at the time of enrollment. BBHS aims to provide the most appropriate classes for each student while considering their areas of interest, but no guarantees are made regarding requested courses (including AP and Honors courses).
