Tuition, Tuition Assistance and Scholarships

BBHS has a need-blind admissions policy; students are admitted based on their personal record and not their financial circumstances. We are committed to meeting the full demonstrated financial need of our students for four years. Aid is awarded directly from Bishop Blanchet and the Fulcrum Foundation. Factors considered in the request for aid include family income, assets, total number of family members in the household and the number of children attending Catholic schools. Award amounts may vary, even given similar financial profiles, depending on available funds. Students who qualify for tuition assistance may also receive assistance with enrollment fees, books, computer equipment, activity fees, transportation and lunch.

We are delighted to know that your student is interested in Bishop Blanchet. High school choices raise many questions for families, not least of all the question of affordability. BBHS has a need-blind admissions policy; students are admitted based on their personal record and not their financial circumstances. We are committed to meeting the full demonstrated financial need of our students for four years. This school year, we awarded $3.5 million in tuition assistance and scholarships to 43% of our students.

Below are some examples of tuition assistance awards. Factors considered in determining an amount include family income, household size and other children attending Catholic schools. The deadline to apply for assistance for the 2026-27 school year is December 31, 2025.

Please note, in addition to need-based aid, every freshman applicant is considered for a Merit Scholarship. There is no separate application process for this scholarship, and once awarded, it applies to all four years. 

Case Study 1

A single parent with one student attending BBHS and one attending Catholic middle school. The parent’s income is $45,000. The family received a $17,200 tuition assistance award for the year.

Case Study 2

A family of five with two students attending BBHS and one attending Catholic middle school. The family income is $202,000. The family received a $18,000 tuition assistance award for the year.

Case Study 3

A family of five with one student attending BBHS, one attending Catholic middle school and one attending college. The family income is $155,000. The family received a $8,000 tuition assistance award for the year.
 

Case Study 4

A single parent with one student attending BBHS. The parent’s income is $80,000. The family received a $11,000 tuition assistance award for the year.

Your student’s education is an important investment and the real value is a four year education that will prepare your student for college and beyond.

Please follow the steps below to apply for Bishop Blanchet and Fulcrum Foundation Assistance for the 2026-27 school year. The application window is October 1-December 31, 2025.

1. Click here to complete the BBHS Tuition Assistance Application. The application is available in English and Spanish.  

• Current BBHS families and families with students in other tuition charging schools that participate in FACTS and/or the Fulcrum Foundation Grant and Aid Program, should log-in with the same FACTS username and password they use now.

• Using your existing FACTS log-in, select "Bishop Blanchet." In the section entitled FACTS Grant and Aid program, click "Start Application."

• Families who do not have a current FACTS login should begin the FACTS application by choosing the "Create a New Account" option.

• Enter all students, including elementary and middle school, and their schools on the same FACTS application. You will be asked to enter demographic information for each student as well as current tuition and any tuition assistance as applicable. This will ensure that each FACTS school and the Fulcrum Foundation receive your tuition assistance request.

• Parents of students who live in different households are expected to apply separately and each provide the required financial information.

• Under the "Applicant" section, answer "yes" to the question "Are you applying for Fulcrum Foundation Tuition Assistance?" BBHS and Fulcrum use the same application with pertinent questions from both institutions required throughout the application.

• Required fields (*) will not let you proceed without an entry or number. If you are unsure as to how to answer a question, click the question box to utilize the "Help" function.

• Payment of the nonrefundable $35 FACTS application fee is by credit or debit card.

2. Submit the required supporting financial documents (listed below) along with your FACTS application.

The 2026-2027 Tuition Assistance application is considered complete and ready for review when the following documents are attached and visible on the FACTS application:

• IRS Form 1040, 1040A or 1040EZ  for the 2024 Income Tax Return including all required Schedules and Attachments. If applicant and co-applicant file taxes separately, 2024 tax returns are required from both parents.
   

• All 2024 W2s or 1099 statements are required for both applicant and co-applicant if applicable.
   

• Most recent 2025 paystub showing year-to-date wages and deductions. 
   

• Business owners are required to provide all appropriate tax forms (Schedule C, S Corp, etc) for the business as well as the most current Profit and Loss Statement.
   

• Families who receive funds from Social Security, SSI, TANF or Unemployment Compensation are required to submit a copy of the Federal/State Award Letter or payment advice for each family member who receives funds. 
   

• NOTE: please attach all of the 2026-2027 required documents to the application even if you have sent some or all of these documents to BBHS regarding the 2025-26 tuition assistance application.

Supporting financial documents must be scanned and uploaded to the FACTS application. Best practice is to scan the documents and submit from a desktop or laptop computer.

PLEASE DO NOT use your mobile device to photocopy required documents due to problems with legibility.

FACTS no longer accepts mailed or faxed documents to be uploaded to applications.

Merit Based Scholarships are offered to incoming 9th graders only at the time of admission. Scholarships are awarded to top scholars who demonstrate academic promise/achievement, leadership and faith activities.

Students are automatically considered for one of these renewable scholarships when they apply for admission to Bishop Blanchet. No separate scholarship application is required or accepted. Financial need is not a criteria for the Merit-Based scholarships.

As a component of tuition assistance, Bishop Blanchet offers Named Endowment Scholarships to current students made possible from the generosity of Bishop Blanchet donors, alumni and friends. Awards are based on many factors including educational interest, school and community involvement and financial need. Please note only current 9th, 10th and 11th grade students are eligible to apply for a Named Endowment Scholarship next year.

In order to apply for and be awarded a Named Endowment Scholarship, an applicant must have demonstrated financial need and the BBHS Business Office must have a current completed FACTS Tuition Assistance form on file for the applicant’s household.

Scholarships awarded from the previous school year are not automatically renewed. Students must complete a new application for a Named Endowment Scholarship each year. If a student is awarded a scholarship in more than one year during their attendance, the amount awarded may vary from year to year. 

To be considered for a Named Endowment Scholarship, applications should be completed online, emailed to Robert Lukevich at rlukevich@bishopblanchet.org no later than 11:59 p.m. on Friday, December 19, 2025.
