Stage Management
What to Expect
Stage managers work in the rehearsal room tracking every part of the performance; from the actor's movement, to props and lighting and sound cues. Our stage managers are a direct connection between what happens in the rehearsal room and the other crews that are working to build the production.
During performances, the head stage manager calls cues to run the show, while the assistant stage managers run backstage scene changes.
Typical schedule:
Stage managers meet for all rehearsals, from 3-6 p.m. Monday through Friday in the Marge Bradburn Studio Theatre. For the musical, some Saturdays are included closer to tech week.
Stage managers work throughout tech week with crews to bring the final elements together. Check out the Tech Week page for more on what to expect!
How to sign up:
If you are interested in being a part of the stage management team, then contact Ms. Darr and Mr. Eriksen and let them know you are interested. This is an elite team of students who track the production and teams are decided before the audition process begins.
