Athletes Safety and Support

Bishop Blanchet is dedicated to the health, well being and success of our student athletes. From having a full time athletic trainer on site, to our newly remodeled and dedicated training and recovery spaces - our goal is injury prevention and injury recovery.

Sarah Wait, M.Ed, LAT, ATC, CSCS - Head Athletic Trainer and Sports Medicine Teacher
Sarah Wait was born and raised in upstate New York. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from the University of Vermont. After moving to the West Coast, Sarah worked for Mariner High School as an Assistant Athletic Trainer for 18 months before returning to professional education. She attended the University of Washington and received a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction; she then continued her career at Bellevue High School where she remained for seven years as their athletic trainer. She also served as the interim sports medicine teacher at Bothell High School. Sarah has been at BBHS since 2018. When she is not taping, rehabilitating, or writing chart notes - you will find her in one of our three gyms, training room or on the sidelines of our field!

Ms. Wait was recognized in 2023 as an outstanding Bishop Blanchet Staff member and received the Jim Pinsoneault "Beyond the Classroom" Award.
