Athletics Overview

Bishop Blanchet is regarded as one of the best academic and athletic college prep high schools in the state of Washington. Our teams are consistently honored for scholastic and athletic achievements. We are committed to providing athletic opportunities to all students: each season we have a minimum of two non-cut sports. With offerings from soccer to basketball to ultimate frisbee and lacrosse, there is a place for you here!

2021-22 Sport Information

Dear Parents and Guardians, June 2021

In order to participate in a sport, all student athletes will need to register through is a secure registration platform that provides you with an easy, user-friendly way to register for our programs, and helps us to be more administratively efficient and environmentally responsible. FamilyID allows you to create a profile for each of your students and then use that profile to register for different athletic programs.
The exception to our online format is the pre participation-medical history form and physician evaluation form (forms attached). Both of these forms need to be uploaded through your FamilyID account. The medical history form will be filled out, dated and signed by the student-athletes guardian and the physical form will be completed and signed by your health provider.
All returning athletes and incoming 9th graders can find the registration link to Fall, Winter, and Spring Sports on the Athletics page of the Bishop Blanchet website. All electronic forms and uploaded forms (physical and medical history forms) must be completed before your child is eligible for Fall, Winter or Spring Sports.
We anticipate and are planning for a return to our traditional sports schedule for the 2021-22 school year (i.e. Fall, Winter and Spring sports played in the traditional timeframes).
Fall Sports begin on Monday, August 23 with the exception of football, which begins on Wednesday, August 18. Bishop Blanchet requires physicals to be renewed each school year. To be eligible, all athletes need to upload their current Physical and Medical History Form to FamilyID. Once forms are submitted online, the parent/guardian account holder will receive a confirmation email from FamilyID, stating that their registration has been successfully “completed.” The Athletic Office will then review the registration. Parent/guardian account holders will be sent an email stating that the student athlete is/is not eligible to participate, due to a specific reason. The Athletic Office will open Monday, August 16 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. for help with the registration process.
Fall cut-sports consist of Boys and Girls Golf, Girls Soccer and Volleyball. Fall non-cut sports are Boys and Girls Cross Country, Football and Girls swimming. Please refer to the BBHS calendar for tryout information, dates and times.
