Athletics Overview

Bishop Blanchet is regarded as one of the best academic and athletic college prep high schools in the state of Washington. Our teams are consistently honored for scholastic and athletic achievements. We are committed to providing athletic opportunities to all students: each season we have a minimum of two non-cut sports. With offerings from soccer to basketball to ultimate frisbee and lacrosse, there is a place for you here!

Season 1: February 22 - April 17
Sports: Football, Girls Soccer, Girls Swim and Dive, Volleyball, Cross Country, and Golf

Season 2: April 19 - June 12
Sports: Baseball, Basketball, Boys Swim and Dive, Boys Soccer, Softball, Tennis, Track and Field, and Wrestling

Boys and Girls Lacrosse dates are being determined by each specific league.

Bishop Blanchet strongly encourages all athletes to get annual physicals. Given the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and the challenge of scheduling appointments with family doctors, Bishop Blanchet will accept physicals dated within the last two years for the 2020-2021 school year. Note: physicals cannot expire during a season an athlete is participating in. If a physical is set to expire before or during a season, the athlete must have a new one before they can try-out or participate in the remainder of that season. All athletes will need to submit an updated medical history form for the 2020-2021 school year.

In order to participate in a sport, all student-athletes must register through FamilyID. FamilyID is a secure registration platform that provides you with an easy, user-friendly way to register for our programs, and helps us to be more administratively efficient and environmentally responsible. FamilyID allows you to create a profile for each of your students and then use that profile to register for different programs (Athletics) and events (Campus Ministry).

The exception to our online format is the pre-participation Medical History and Physician Evaluation Forms. Both of these forms must be filled out and signed by the student-athlete's guardian and the physical form will be completed and signed by your health provider, then uploaded through your FamilyID account before the athlete is eligible to participate.

Once forms are submitted to FamilyID, the parent/guardian account holder will receive a confirmation email from FamilyID stating that their registration has been successfully submitted. The Athletic Office will then review the registration. Accounts will be sent an email stating that the student-athlete is eligible to participate or not eligible due to a specific reason.
