Prayer & Sacraments

Prayer & Sacraments

Liturgy
Once a month, our school community comes together for an all-school Mass or prayer service. These celebrations are special times for our school to unite in prayer. Students are encouraged to take an active role in the liturgical ministries through lectoring, singing and serving at the altar.

Sacrament of Reconciliation

During the seasons of Advent and Lent, all students have the opportunity for individual confession with priests from our local parishes as part of our Theology classes.

Prayer
Prayer begins and ends our school day. At the start of the day, a reflection is offered over the intercom for the entire school community. Students, faculty and staff are all encouraged to share a morning reflection. Additionally, each individual class and school assemblies begin with prayer. It is a common practice that sports teams pray before their games and practices.

End of day prayer:

May the Lord bless you and keep you;
May the Lord make his face shine upon you, and be gracious unto you.
May the Lord look upon you with kindness and grant you peace.
Amen
