Honor Society Membership in Bishop Blanchet's FONS SAPIENTIAE Chapter of the National Honor Society is determined on the basis of scholarship, leadership, character, and service. Students must earn First Honors twice and have a 3.5 cumulative GPA to be eligible for membership. Eligible students will be invited to apply in the fall and spring. Any member who fulfills the basic requirements and who earns First Honors five (5) times (at least once during senior year) qualifies for lifetime membership in the Honor Society. Lifetime members of the National Honor Society wear medals at graduation.
The National Honor Society is more than just an honor roll. The National Honor Society establishes rules for membership that are based upon a student’s outstanding performance in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. These criteria for selection form the foundation upon which the organization and its activities are built.
