The Braves season ended Wednesday in the first round of the State Tournament.
For the third time in four years, the Braves earned a berth in the State Tournamant. The team traveled down to Vancouver to take on Columbia River HS at Kiggins Bowl Stadium in the first round. After conceeding an uncharateristic three goals, the team showed tremendous resolve to rally back with two of their own late in the second half before running out of time. Senior leadership and young talent lead the way. The first goal came on a well placed corner from Senior Margaret Steiner that found Freshman Gigi Gallaudet at the near post for the finish. The second tally came minutes later as Gallaudet feed Sophomore striker, Taylor Chambers, who calmly finished. The Braves kept up the pressure to the final whistle and the ultimate 2-3 defeat, but were able to walk off the pitch with pride in their efforts.
