The Bradburn Library is a major center of student activity on Bishop Blanchet's campus. Students gather there before and after school, during break and lunch. Classes meet in the library to conduct research. The library is a place to read, work together at the large tables, or write or research using iPads or desktop computers.
The Library Pages, with databases and passwords for students, are available online at the Library Google Site.
The Bradburn Library's collection includes approximately 10,000 books. All aspects of Bishop Blanchet's curriculum are enhanced by the more twenty databases, including those from Gale, ProQuest, Oxford University Press, Scientific American, Nature
and Facts, which can be automatically accessed anywhere on campus without any passwords.
E-books are a growing resource in our collection, with new acquisitions made monthly. E-books can be accessed by many students simultaneously, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
In the library, students have access to:
- Online catalogs
- Online databases
- Internet searching
- Reserve shelves
- Reference resources
- Exploring college libraries
