Registration Information

Winter and summer camps, held on Bishop Blanchet's beautiful campus, are designed to appeal to a range of skill and experience levels. All students will enjoy the opportunity to meet new friends and learn from our dynamic coaches and instructors in a supportive, fun environment.

2019 Athletic Grade School Summer Camps

  • Boys Basketball

    June 25-28, Session 1 (9am-12pm)

    The Bishop Blanchet Basketball Camp will stress techniques of all basketball skills including: individual offensive moves, passing, shooting, rebounding and ball handling. Our camp will focus on individual fundamental skills while improving the individual talent of each camper. The camp structure will be from a team perspective, working within the offensive and defensive systems implemented at the high school level. Instruction will be provided by the Bishop Blanchet High School coaching staff. This is a great opportunity for all players to improve their basketball skills and compete in a positive atmosphere.

  • Boys Flag Football

    The Bishop Blanchet Flag Football camp is a non-contact camp. Participants will learn the rules of the game, offensive and defensive formations, and the fundamentals of football (proper way to catch a football, how to run a route, proper backpedaling technique, etc.). The camp will be lead by our BBHS Football staff and current players. Come enjoy the action on Mickey Naish Field!

  • Boys Soccer

    The Bishop Blanchet Soccer Camp is designed with the beginner, intermediate and advanced youth player in mind. Coaches, current players, and BBHS alumni work directly with campers to develop and enhance coordination, balance, technique and skill. Emphasis will be placed on passing and receiving, dribbling, shooting, heading, movement into space with and without the ball, possession and various defensive and offensive techniques.

    Ages: Students entering 6th-8th grade for the 2019-20 school year.
  • Boys Wrestling

    The Bishop Blanchet Wrestling camp is designed to prepare students for their upcoming wrestling season. Coach Greg Eagle and his current players will teach technical skill individually as well in a competitive atmosphere. Camp will be held in the wrestling room at Bishop Blanchet.

  • Co-Ed Cross Country

    Participants will learn about basic running technique, racing strategies, nutrition and injury prevention. Students will come to appreciate the benefits of running as a lifelong activity through an age-appropriate introduction. All activities will take place at Green Lake and Lower Woodland, and will be led by BBHS cross country coaches John O’Leary (men), Kristin Metcalf (women) and special guest athletes and/or local coaches.

  • Co-Ed Yoga/Yoga Sculpt

    Vinyasa yoga is an energetic full-body flow of movements set to inspiring music. We’ll explore the fundamental principles of yoga while working every muscle. Vinyasa yoga helps build harmony between the mind and body while using breath to cultivate strength, flexibility and relaxation. Yoga is beneficial for all bodies, but it can be especially helpful for athletes in supporting injury prevention, fostering balance and promoting mental discipline that is valuable in all sports. (No yoga experience is necessary.)

  • Girls Basketball

  • Girls Volleyball

    The Bishop Blanchet volleyball camp will provide specialized instruction in serving, passing, hitting, blocking, and defense. The camp features individualized attention to insure a learning, rewarding, and fun experience. Players of all skill levels will improve skills through the use of challenging and competitive drills, with campers of similar skill-set.

2019 Academic Grade School Summer Camps

  • Art

    Come join us in exploring a variety of art media - including clay sculptures, collagraph printmaking, watercolor painting, and more - in a fun and creative environment. Students will learn basic art skills while exploring their own unique creativity and personal vision. All supplies are provided at the camp, so all you need to bring is your own imagination!

  • Baking

    Grab a rolling pin and put on an apron! For four fun-filled days, Brave Bakers will experience a world of hands-on baking. We'll cover fundamentals such as: how to read and follow a recipe, measuring and mixing, and the importance of kitchen safety. Best of all, our chefs will have a blast designing and decorating (and taking home) their sweet creations. BBHS teacher Kori Boyd and current students will lead this camp and share some of their favorite recipes with our campers.

  • Cheer

    All students K-8 are invited to join the BBHS Cheerleading Squad for a week of Cheer! Campers will learn cheers, chants, and dances! We hope you can join us!

  • Foreign Language Sampler

    Hablas Español? Parlez vous Français? Sprechen Sie Deutsch? Are you wondering what language to take in high school? Do you have an interest in other cultures? The BBHS Language Department invites you to come experience Spanish, French, and German languages and cultures. This camp will also teach you how to study for any foreign language in high school. Be prepared to speak, eat, sing, and play games in these three languages and meet the actual BBHS teachers that teach these classes at our school. All are welcome!

  • History's Mysteries

    How big is the universe? What reasons have humans given for its origin? Why have we gone from foragers to food shoppers? If you ponder these questions, like investigations, or just love history, History Detectives Camp is for you! As a history sleuth, you will gather evidence and clues, interrogate sometimes suspicious sources, and problem solve with fellow detectives to uncover these and many more intriguing mysteries of the human story this summer.

  • Leadership

    Summer Leadership Camp is for students who are looking to become involved as student leaders or learn valuable skills to help become better leaders. Students can connect with peer leaders from other areas schools to collaborate and share ideas, and work together to develop their own leadership skills. Students will participate in hands on interactive learning activities that include topics such as positive teamwork, decision making, problem solving, communication skills, leadership strategies, and self-awareness to help them develop the confidence to lead.

    Ages: students entering 6th-8th grade for the 2019-20 school year. 
  • STEM/Coding

    STEM camp provides students entering grades 6-8 with fun and engaging opportunities to explore science and technology with no experience needed. Each session is filled with hands-on experiences using science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). These experiences are designed to build interest, knowledge, and technical skills the campers can take with them into the classroom and beyond.

  • Study Skills

    The Bishop Blanchet Study Skills Camp is aimed to assist students in transitioning to the more demanding and time-consuming homework loads associated with middle school and starting high school. This camp will help students with time management, organization, study strategies, and planning skills to increase success in the classroom this fall.

    Ages: students entering 6th-8th grade for the 2019-20 school year. 
  • Theatre

    This four-day camp focuses on spontaneity and imagination. Participants will practice improvisational skills and performance techniques in a safe and fun environment that promotes confidence and creativity. Our head drama instructor Robert Bergin and BBHS performing arts students will lead this camp. The camp will be held in Bishop Blanchet’s Black Box Theatre.

  • Theology Bootcamp

    Theology Boot Camp is open to all incoming non-Catholic and Catholic students who desire some background in Catholic Theology prior to jumping into a core Theology course. Students without previous religion class experience and those who came from a Catholic school but don't feel like they have a solid foundation of the faith are encouraged to attend.

    In the camp students will learn about the Bible, authored by God through Inspiration. The camp will provide students with a general knowledge of the structure and organization of the Bible including the major sections of the Bible and the books included in each section. Finally, it will introduce the concepts of Salvation History and touch on the progression of the covenantal relationship between God and humanity through the Old and New Testaments.

2019 Athletic High School Summer Camps

  • Boys Freshman Football

    The Bishop Blanchet Frosh Football camp is open to all incoming 9th graders. This competitive camp focuses on teaching the fundamentals and techniques at every position. Testing, position drills and competitions will be incorporated in this camp. The Bishop Blanchet staff looks forward to welcoming and developing all levels of players during this four-day camp.

    Ages: incoming freshmen. 
  • Co-Ed Yoga/Yoga Sculpt
