Brave Summer

Registration Information

Summer camps, held on Bishop Blanchet's beautiful campus, are designed to appeal to a range of skill and experience levels. All students will enjoy the opportunity to meet new friends and learn from our dynamic coaches and instructors in a supportive, fun environment.

Cost varies by individual camp; pricing may be viewed on our registration page here. Both Youth Camps and High School Camps are now open for registration!

2018 Youth Camps

  • Boys Basketball

    June 25-28, Session 1 (9am-12pm)

    The Bishop Blanchet Basketball Camp will stress techniques of all basketball skills including: individual offensive moves, passing, shooting, rebounding and ball handling. Our camp will focus on individual fundamental skills while improving the individual talent of each camper. The camp structure will be from a team perspective, working within the offensive and defensive systems implemented at the high school level. Instruction will be provided by the Bishop Blanchet High School coaching staff. This is a great opportunity for all players to improve their basketball skills and compete in a positive atmosphere.  

    Ages: Students entering 6th-8th grade for the 2018/19 school year
  • Boys Flag Football

    June 25-28, Session 2 (1-4pm)

    The Bishop Blanchet Flag Football camp is a non-contact camp. Participants will learn the rules of the game, offensive and defensive formations and the fundamentals of football (proper way to catch a football, how to run a route, proper backpedaling technique, etc.). The camp will be led by our BBHS Football staff and current players. Come enjoy the action on Mickey Naish Field.

  • Co-Ed Cross Country

    June 18-21, Session 1 (9am-12pm)

    Participants will learn about basic running technique, racing strategies, nutrition and injury prevention. Students will come to appreciate the benefits of running as a lifelong activity through an age-appropriate introduction. All activities will take place at Green Lake and Lower Woodland, and will be led by BBHS cross country coaches John O’Leary (men), Kristin Metcalf (women) and special guest athletes and/or local coaches.

  • Co-Ed Middle School Survival

    August 20-22, 11:30am-2:30pm

    This hands-on, activity-driven camp pulls topics from 16 student success competencies to create activities and workshops aimed at promoting student success and wellness in the middle school years. Topics covered in this class include:

    Day 1: Educational Success
    1) Organization Skills/Time Management
    2) Study and Test
    3) Self-Advocacy
    4) Goal Setting
    5) Educational Planning

    Day 2: Self-Management Skills
    1) Self-Control
    2) Stress Management
    3) Decision Making

    1) Empathy/ Compassion
    2) Problem Solving/ Conflict Management
    3) Effective Group Skills
    4) Social Belonging
     
    Ages: students entering 6th-8th grade for the 2018-19 school year. 
  • Girls Basketball

    June 25-28, Session 2 (1-4pm)

    The Bishop Blanchet Basketball Camp offers instruction in the fundamental skills and strategies of the game of basketball. The camp will utilize both gyms and will include daily competitions, drills and one-on-one attention.Players will build individual skills and team performance. Varsity Head Coach Brett Hecko, current players and alumni will guide and instruct the youth campers. The staff looks forward to having a fun week! T-shirt is included in tuition.

  • Girls Volleyball (5th & 6th Graders)

    July 9-12, Session 1 (9am-12pm)

    The Bishop Blanchet volleyball camp will provide specialized instruction in serving, passing, hitting, blocking and defense. The camp features individualized attention to insure a learning, rewarding and fun experience. Players of all skill levels will improve skills through the use of challenging and competitive drills, with campers of similar skill-set. Each camper will receive a camp shirt to take home with them on their last day!

    The camp will be lead by our Bishop Blanchet coaching staff, current players and alumni. 

    Ages: Students entering 5th & 6th grade for the 2018/19 school year
  • Girls Volleyball (7th & 8th Graders)

    July 9-12, Session 2 (1-4pm)

2018 High School Camps

  • A Brave Start for Incoming Freshmen

    August 20-22, 8:30-10:30am

    At Bishop Blanchet High School, we have a number of programs and activities in place to ease the transition to high school such as the Brave Welcome and Brave Connection mentor program, the freshman BBQ and the orientation day--all of which are designed to help them feel comfortable, prepared and excited to start high school.

    In addition to these programs, the Brave Start Summer camp has been created for those incoming freshmen who would benefit from a greater focus in a smaller setting prior to the school year. This hands-on, activity-driven camp pulls topics from 16 student success competencies to create activities and workshops aimed at promoting student success as they enter high school.

  • Boys Frosh Football

    June 25-28th, 4:30-7pm

    The Bishop Blanchet Frosh Football camp is open to all incoming 9th graders. This competitive camp focuses on teaching the fundamentals and techniques at every position! Testing, position drills and competitions will be incorporated into this camp. The Bishop Blanchet staff looks forward to welcoming and developing all levels of players during this 4-day experience.

  • Girls Basketball

    June 25-28, 4:30-7pm

    The Bishop Blanchet Basketball Camp offers instruction in the fundamental skills (shooting, dribbling, and passing) and strategies of the game of basketball. The camp will utilize both gyms, include daily competitions, drills, and one-on-one attention. Varsity Head Coach Brett Hecko, staff and alumni will guide and instruct the campers. The staff looks forward to having a fun week!

  • Girls Volleyball

    July 9-11, 4-9pm

    Bishop Blanchet is thrilled to be able to host an All-American Volleyball
    Camp. The camp staff will be made up of collegiate All-Americans, all conference selections and players who play professionally. All students interested in playing volleyball at BBHS are encouraged to attend.
