Dances

Bishop Blanchet is proud to offer several student dances throughout the academic year. These are joyful occasions for our student body to come together and celebrate.

Please review the BBHS Handbook for dance guidelines.

2022-2023 Dances:
- Quad Dance - Saturday, September 10 - BBHS
- Homecoming - Saturday, September 24 - BBHS
- Winter Ball - Saturday, January 21 - BBHS
- Spring Tolo - Saturday, March 18 - TBD
- Senior Prom - Saturday, May 20 - Sunset Bay Lodge at the Ballard Elks

Dance Rules

Students attending BBHS dances must be in the dance no later than one hour after the dance begins, and are allowed to leave dances no earlier than one half-hour before they are over. (There may be exceptions, but they must be taken care of in writing two days before the dance). There are no in-and-out privileges. This is for the students’ protection and parents' peace of mind.

BBHS students may bring one pre-approved guest to most dances (no guests to the Quad Dance or Homecoming Dance). Dance guest request forms are available online at least one week before the turn-in deadline. The request form must be completely filled out and returned to the Activities Office for final approval and to receive your Guest Pass. All forms must submitted four days prior to the dance to verify that the guest is allowed to attend our dances.

Limousines are not allowed for dances at BBHS with exception of the Senior Prom.

Students suspected of alcohol or drug use will be dealt with according to school policy. Students may be asked to leave the dance if they are engaging in dancing that is deemed unacceptable. Please see the Parent /Student Handbook for these rules and consequences.

No participants will be allowed into the dance without picture ID. Both BBHS students and guests must have a current ASB card or current picture ID to enter the dance. No one 21 or older will be allowed into BBHS dances.

Please make sure that pickup arrangements are made before the dance. Students must be picked up no more than twenty minutes after the dance. Their safety is always our first concern.

CHAPERONES
At least ten parent chaperones are needed for each dance. Please contact the Activities Office if you are a BBHS Parent willing to chaperone at school dances.
